Many of the mistakes I see direct sellers make come from fear. 😲
Fear of being judged.
Fear of being ignored.
Fear of being misunderstood.
Any of those feel true for you?
Fear is a BIG deal and we need to talk about it!
We need to get clear on what we are TRULY afraid of
(*hint, it's not really any of those things I just mentioned...)
in order to push past it and be who we know we can be!
I see this fear pop up all the time in how direct sellers post and what they say in those posts!
There are 3 Fear Phrases I see used over and over that I want you to BANISH from your vocabulary! 🙌
Fear can cause us to do things and say thing we don't mean or shouldn't say! It's ok to feel fear, but it's not ok to let it sabotage your business!
Fear #1 - Being Judged
Fear Phrase #1 - "I'm Sorry"
"I joined XYZ Company, and I'm going to say SORRY ahead of time that I'll be posting about XYZ"
"I promise not to be "that girl" and fill your newsfeed with spam"
"Don't hate me, but I joined a direct sales company"
These types of posts come from a place of feeling like you are embarrassed about what you are doing. If so, you need to stop and think about your biases toward this industry!
Fear #2 - Being Ignored
Fear Phrase #2 - "I know I'm posting too much..."
"Keep scrolling if you don't want to..."
These are what your fear based mind pulls up when you are fearful that you will be ignored. It's almost as if you are TELLING them to ignore you out of fear. Like self fulfilling prophecy!
Fear #3 - Being Misunderstood
Fear Phrase #3 - "I know you don't get it"
"A lot of people think this is a scam"
This type of fear comes from you!!!!!
And the worst part, when you give someone a negative they will nod their heads and be like, YEP, I do not get it, or I do think it's a scam!
Again, this is a place where you need to do the reflection and find out what your own personal DS biases are!
